York, England - The Signallers on the March

Went for a visit to York with my Mum and to meet up with my Aunt.

Also in York today were 250 soldiers of the 2 Signal Regiment, marching with bayonets fixed together with the Heavy Cavalry and Cambrai Band and the Pipes and Drums of the Royal Corps of Signals.

Apparently they were exercising their freedom of the city of York.

Co-incidentally, my father (now deceased) did his British National Service with the Signallers for two years; here is his National Service medal.

If you knew Signalman Ronald 'Ron' Gilmour, number 23768698 of the Royal Corps of Signals, based out in Malaya from 1960 to 1962, then please get in touch.
